Has anyone else noticed these:

1.  Reverse Selection doesn't work in bin

2.  Sometimes Media Tool window won't close and makes the GUI unresponsive.  Reboot avid and Media Tool is still there but closes as usual.  It's happened several times now but I haven't discovered the exact sequence that causes it.

3.  The # (shift ~) key on my (UK) keyboard (furthest right on third row from bottom) isn't available to map to but was there in MC5.5.  I've used it for Quick Transition for years now.

Overall, I'm very happy with MC6 but I am missing the EX AMA plugin.

Unity Connection Manager (Ethernet) for LION!

hi all =)

now we have 4 iMac's with lion and we want to connect to the Unity MN5 (5.1.3) and there ist no Connection manager in download center?!?! for fiber there is one but i can't find him for ETHERNET!

has anyone an idea?!

Batch Import of AVCHD Fails in MC6

Every batch import of any AVCHD file I've tried in MC6 has failed with the following error in the console:

Total AVCHD audio execute time is 103322 microseconds

Total AVCHD video execute time is 29452 microseconds

binImportMpeg – Audio tracks are longer than master mob.

BatchImport::RelinkToMaster – IMPORT_TOO_SHORT

Cannot reduce duration of clip shorter than current duration

theMasterComp=240 masterMob=237

Batch import clip 2 of 2 FAILED: 00020.new.01 with error:

Exception: IMPORT_TOO_SHORT

Batch imported 0 of 2 clips

UPDATE: To anyone reading this, the issue has been reported to Avid by the moderators. For now we found a workaround: delete the media of the DNxHD imported file (the one you're trying to batch import). Then do a traditional import of the same source AVCHD file, and relink the offline master clip to the newly imported media. This effectively changes the DNxHD resolution of the master clip, while keeping all references to the clip in sequences online.

MC 6 crash upon launch

I just downloaded and installed MC 6. Once I rebooted I launched the application. As it is initializing items it goes to a white screen (it running through them way to fast to see which one it crashes on). If I try to get out of the program or go to task manager and quit it crashed the computer. It goes to the blue screen of death and does a physical memory dump and reboots the computer.  This has happened 3 times now. Here are my system specs: HPxw4300, 4GB Ram, NVIDIA Quadro FX 3400, Windows 7 64bit, External Avid SCSI media drives.

One other thing – everytime I launch it says "Desktop compositing must be disabled" and it goes to windows 7 basic. That wouldn't be causing the issue would it? How do I permanantly set that?

Avid 6.0 exception: ADM_COREAUDIO_UNDERRUN – when trying to play a timeline

Every time i hit the space bar to play back a timeline i made in 5.5.3, i get the exception error exception: ADM_COREAUDIO_UNDERRUN. 

Its a pretty simple minute long project in dnxhd 36 orginally ama'd in and then transcoded from some 5d cliops. Its only got two video tracks and one audio track. 

My specs are i7 Imac 2011 w/thunderbolt 12 gb of ram. Lion 10.7.2 –  5.5.3 was working a dream just a few hours ago on the same box. 

Theres no periphials hooked up except an extra moniter which is using one of the tunderbolt plugs. And the footge is coming from a lacie fw800 drive. 

After a few minutes ill get like 10 seconds into thetimeline before it happens but usually its immediately when hitting the spacebar. 

MC6 wrong keyboard setting

Hello,

I have installed MC6 on a HP Z400 machine, FX1800, 12GB Ram

OS Win 7 64bit German language.

the systemkeyboard is set to DE (deutsch – austria)

If I start a project MC6 noticed me that the keyboard settings have changed.

Inside MC6 the keyboard is English (United States), i can not change it.

With MC 5.5.3 all worked fine.

Any tips?

Bug during import image – MC5 import the all images in file

Hello there good people.

I ran into a bug maybe. I'm tryng to import an image from a file in my computer (Which is in English, no greek words or other stuff that can cause bug), for 20 second long (by setting). Mc5 imports me the image, and built as a 1 frame image with all the other images in the seq (so I get a 10 frames long image, with contains 10 diffrent images inside by duration of 1 fps for each one).

And one more question

Why the blur effect canceling my resize image effect? I try to do the opposite, and that the resize effect canceling the blur. Can they work together?
