Exporting a particular section?

Exporting a particular section?

Hello,

How do I export a specific section of my project? I select only that part but when I export, Avid renders all of my timeline.

Thank you.

Export Same As Source QT Has Wrong Data Rate

When I export a sequence of DNxHD 36 footage as a Same As Source QT with Avid's Timecode generator on top, the QT's Data Rate is about 117 mbits/sec instead of 36 mbits/sec, resulting in an unnecessarily large file.  If I perform the same export without the Timecode, the resulting QT's Data Rate is correct.  Is this just a bug?  Is there a good work around?  As is, we are having to mix down all of our video tracks with the Timecode prior to exporting.

We are on Avid Certified Macs running MC 5.0.3.9 on Nitris DX.

Troubleshooting so far: ensured only DNxHD 36 clips were in timeline, un-rendered and re-rendered all effects below the Timecode, re-created title media, and double-checked that Media Creation settings were all set to DNxHD 36.

If we render the TC track, then the Data Rate and, thus, file size, are correct, but we would rather not waste time rendering a "real time" Timecode effect on a 45 min. episode and then wait for it to export.

Thoughts?  Suggestions?  Thanks for your help.
