Interlacing – How to make horiz/vert motion smooth

Working on MC2.7  Having very noticable interlacing as still images are moved horizontally or vertically.

These images are being created in Boris RED 4.0

Tried creating alpha channel movies and overlaying on background video clips, same problem.

Are there AVID settings that would fix this problem?

Any suggestions are appreciated.  Have 16 commercials due tomorrow, all with same issue.
