Importing audio files are being renamed

Importing audio files are being renamed

When importing audio files (*.wav) the files show up in the bin with new names /1, /2. /3 etc. Why is this happening? I want to preserve the original file name. (My video files all imported fine, used DNxHD 115)

Sorry for such a simple question. I'm just a beginner and I searched for quiet a while for the answer.

Thanks!

fastest way to transcode AVCHD for MC5?

I am trying to get some AVCHD files into MC5 for editing, right now my test file is an 8 minute video, 720/60P and MC5 takes about two and a half hours to transcode it. Is there a faster way, I obviously want to retain as much quality as possible. I tried Squeeze with DNxHD codec but even that takes an hour and a half and the file would be huge if I let it finish. 15 minutes into the transcode I already have a 2GB file. I am new to all of this as may be able to tell. Thanks in advance.
