Need G4 Symphony hardware setup diagrams

We are a non-profit in Virginia, and we were given two AVID Symphony systems (both running on G4 Macs with the required PCI Extender box) a while back Now we are ready to set them up  BUT, to do so, we need a nice clean diagram(s) of what connects to where – for the stupid among us to methodically follow.  Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Storage Solution

Looking for opinions at different options when it comes to local storage. The majority of our work is done via an Interplay/ISIS network, however as we do more HD editing we need a local storage solution. Right now we do have a single SATA drive hooked up to store HD and high end SD media, but have noticed that it will sometimes choke when outputting to tape.

With the HP xw8600 computer we have, there are several options for internal or external storage. We could put another SATA drive in and do a Raid 0. Would software Raid be sufficient or should we buy a Raid card?

We also have an ATTO SCSI card installed, we have a SAS option. What about eSATA? Were not opposed to an external box. So many options when it comes to storage, and I’m sure like many of you, we want the most bang for our buck and something that will last us a few years.

Thanks for your suggestions.
