“Exception: Cannot quick import a mixed resolution QuickTime movie”

Hello,

I've recently installed Media Composer 6.  Here's an issue that has popped up when first used.  I'm not able to import ANYTHING which includes video (AVI, and Quicktime), audio (WAV, & MP3), graphics (single layer PSD, which I get this error: http://avid.custkb.com/avid/app/selfservice/search.jsp?DocId=274783 Exception: DISK_ACCESS_DENIED'? [274783]

Related?

What I've done so far was to apply the following solutions, including the above link, but still no go:

http://avid.custkb.com/avid/app/selfservice/search.jsp?DocId=273045&ssdFilterCommunity15=1408&ssdFilterCommunity13=0&ssdFilterCommunity11=0&ssdFilterCommunity10=368&ssdFilter_SearchKeyWord=version+matrix+Composer+Version+Matrix+Avid+Editor+Version+Version+Matrix+version+of+Quicktime&ssdSearchOperator=0&ssdFilterCommunity3=0&Hilite=version+matrix+Composer+Version+Matrix+Avid+Editor+Version+Version+Matrix+version+of+Quicktime

…and

From the Quicktime ->> Media Composer Matrix, I have Quicktime 7.7

I've gone through various Import settings, but nada.  The files I'm importing work in version 3.5, but not 6.  Some are brand new files including DV stream .DV

Does it sound like I should reinstall MC 6?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Irwin
