Spectrasonics Launches Special Tribute to Bob Moog
Spectrasonics in Burbank, Calif., has released the Bob Moog Tribute Library created by renowned artists for Omnisphere, and is also offering a contest designed around the library, in which participants enter to win the OMG-1 hardware synthesizer created by Eric Persing. Spectrasonics states that 100 percent of the proceeds from this new library go to benefit the Bob Moog Foundation, which includes the MoogLab student outreach program, the creation of the ‘Moogseum’ in Bob’s hometown of Asheville, N.C., and the preservation of Bob Moog’s extensive and historic archives.

Merging Technologies in Puidoux, Switzerland, announces that the 2010 film Gainsbourg (Vie héroïque), a biopic about French singer-songwriter Serge Gainsbourg (1928-1991), won France’s 2011 César Award for Meilleur Son (Best Sound). The award went to sound engineer Daniel Sobrino, mix engineer Cyril Holtz and sound editor Jean Goudier, who worked on Soundstage 9 at the Auditorium de Boulogne for the final post-production mix using Merging’s Pyramix digital audio workstation.

I can't open Avid MC on my iMac (4GB RAM, Snow Leopard, 2 Ghz Intel core 2 duo processor, Radeon graphics card…). When it initializes the Audio Plugins I get a pop up that reads: 'Exception AMPI subsystem Error, Error MessageDSM future err from client eDSMError…..' This is the 30 day free trial so I can't get support from Avid. I would like to buy the MC if I can get it running on this computer, but now my 30 days are running out and I have never been able to open it. Help! please.
Bad color/contrast level export H264
Hi, when I export in H264 directly from Avid MC 3.0, colors and contrast are washed out
I know there was some kind of discussion on that subject but no solutions came out, any NEW news or idea??
I can't use QT same as source and go to sorenson as I work in XDcamEX .
Exporting in DNXHD works, but I lose time
