Quicktime mystery?

Quicktime mystery?

From the Mac Forum:

Kevin Klimek:

Media Composer does not use QT 7 at all for any of its functionality.

I installed MC5.5.1 in a testsystem (trial version). During install MC told me to install Quicktime.

That's strange. And when there are playback issues, it seems to be caused by the wrong QT version. I don't get it anymore… Huh?

However, is it still version 7.6.6 that should be used in Windows 7 Professional or are there users around that use the latest (7.6.9) version?
