Avid DV codec won’t reproduce image faithfully once imported into authoring software

Hi, and thank you in advance for your assistance with my dilemma.
I am exporting a Quicktime Ref of a DV sequence, and am exporting same as source using the Avid DV codec in an RGB space. The resulting quicktime file is faithful to the image as it's viewed in my Avid timeline, and also viewed using my external reference monitor. When I export as a self contained QT file I get the same nice result. And again when I feed out to tape via digital cut, the media played back on the tape is correct. So far so good.
Problem occurs when I import the file (or even capture from tape) to a dvd authoring program. I have used Sonic, as well as Nero. When I preview the image in these programs it plays greener and darker. The DVDs also author with the same dark and greenish picture. The difference is especially noticable when played on an external or reference monitor or TV.
Since I'm new to the avid online community I'm not sure how to enter my system specs as a signature, so I'm manually adding it here. I'm using Mediacomposer 2.5.3 on Win XP Pro with service pack 2. I'm running Windows on a Mac 2x 2.2.6Ghz Quad-core Intel Xeon
Thanks very much, and I look forward to your replies.
